There is Still Time to Play at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #581

Hi Friends!!!

Just popping in to remind you that there is still time to play with us at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #581. It is a color challenge this week. It is to use Coffee, Denim Blue and Cream. 

We have a sponsor this week. I used Newton's Nook Designs Chrysanthemum Stamps and Dies on my card. 

I had a lot of fun creating this card. I stamped the Chrysanthemum on white cardstock and colored it in with Copic Markers. I then die cut it and adhered it to a piece of cream cardstock. Below is the badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #581.

I then tucked some leaves that I die cut from the Newton's Nook Designs Autumn Leaves behind the panel on the left.

I layered everything over a dark brown, A2 Card base.

There is Still Time to Play at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #579

Hey Friends!!!

Just popping in with a reminder that there is still time to play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #579. This round is a COLOR challenge.  It is to use the colors BURNT ORANGE, GREEN and SKY BLUE on a project.

This week I used an image from Laurie Furnell Ink. She generously donated the Autumn Mouse Digital Stamps for the Design Team to use.

For my card, the mouse and the leaves were from the digital stamp set. I colored them in with Copic Markers and then cut each image out.

I covered the A2 card front with pattern paper and layered a panel of paper that I used some Distress Ink to ink blend a sky and some "grass." 

I stamped a small sentiment and adhered the leaves, the mouse and a stamped sunflower to the background.

A New Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!!

Hey Friends!! It is time for a NEW Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. Challenge #572 is a COLOR challenge. Can you guess what ones from my card????

The green is an extra color but Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #972 is all about using RED, WHITE, and BLUE on a card!!!

Okay, okay, I probably should have stuck to the badge but I really am not a fan of using only red, white and blue on a card. 

I don't send out patriotic cards for holidays so I went with coloring in my tulips red, the background blue and using white/red elements on my card. 

The tulips stamp is a background from Simon Says Stamp! The border was in my stash so I am not sure of the company. The sentiment is from  Pink Fresh Studio and the rick rack is a die from MFT Stamps.

A New Challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenges-#570 Anything Goes

Hey friends!! I hope this post finds you well.

Today I am popping in with a card that I created for round #570 at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. It is a theme challenge this time-ANYTHING GOES!!!

I decided to use some Paper Rose paper and ephemera along with a sentiment by our sponsor this challenge-Your Next Stamp!!! 

This sentiment stamp set-Whatnot Sentiments-is one of my FAVORITE sentiment sets of all times. Below is the badge for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #570.

I had so much fun making my card for this challenge. I rarely use premade ephemera and I found this in my stash. I doctored the images up a bit. I added some clear sparkle pen, Glossy Accents and some gems.

The white panel and the butterfly I used some foam adhesive to give it some dimension.

Some Cards for Challenges

Hey friends!!

Just popping in with a card that I created for a challenge. I created a card using a sketch from the Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog. 

I actually flipped the original sketch and instead of a square, I used a pinked circle. Below is the Tuesday Morning Sketch #704 that inspired my card.

Here is the flipped sketch:

I used a bunch of stuff from my stash so not sure who made what at this point. This is the downside of using things that you already created or die cut!!

I adore how this card came out, though!!!

I also decided to play with The Card Concept Blog this week. 

The gold and the blue and the flowers in the photo from The Card Concept #194 is what inspired my card. 

I also liked the lace feel of the candle holder and decided to use the Floral Grid Coverplate PinkFresh Studio on my background. 

The flowers are from Spellbinders Floral Reflection die set. The sentiment is from The Ton.

The next card is for TWO challenges. The design is inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #538 and the colors from Inspired By Challenge.

Below is my card:

The flowers, the "arch" and the leaves are all from Spellbinders. 

The background is from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from my stash.

A really simple card but I LOVE how it came out!!!

There is a NEW Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations!!

 Hey friends!! 

Just popping in with a card that I created for Challenge #564 at Cupcake Inspirations Challenges. 

For the next two weeks, Cupcake Inspirations Challenge is all about BEES!

The image I used is from our sponsor for this challenge-Pixel Paper Prints!!!

 She generously donated the "Busy Bee's" Digital Stamp Set for us to use for the next two weeks!

I had a TON of fun coloring in this card!! The sentiment was my creation that I printed right on to the front when I printed my images.

Since this set was so MASSIVE, I have a bonus card for you too! I made a birthday card using some of the bees from the "Busy Bee" set.

I used Copic Markers to color in my bees and a stencil for the background. The sentiment looks a bit off in this photo but it is not IRL.

Just a Reminder for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #560

Hello friends!!

I am popping in today with a reminder that you still have time to play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #560. Create a project using the theme "Winter Fun."

I did better this week with my card. I decided to create a thank you with a cup of hot chocolate. That is about as fun as winter gets at my house!!!

All products are from My Favorite Things, with the exception of the red paper and the snowflake. I had them in my stash and they are retired now but I thought they would fit for this challenge. Hot chocolate is fun, right?

If it isn't fun, it sure is yummy!!!

A New Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations

 Hi Friends!! Today there is a new challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations! 

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #544 is to create a card using STRIPES!!!!

I used a the Mixed Stripes Stencil by Scrapbook.com with Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar Distress Ink as the base for my 5 by 7" card. 

I added an A2 white panel over the top that I had ink blended the lipstick Distress Ink and used a Stamperia Stencil over the top. 

I added a Reverse Confetti circle and a Pinkfresh Studio butterfly from the Small Butterflies stamp set. The sentiment strip was from my stash and the Gold Pearls are from the Kat Scrappiness Shop.

Thank You Card

 Happy Sunday!! I hope you all are having a fabulous day. It has been cloudy and gray all weekend so it pretty much has been a wash. I have been getting a bunch of chores done like wash and cleaning. Fun times!!

I did get some time in my craft room this weekend but the inspiration did not come all that easy. However, I was able to complete one card for some challenges.

I used WPlus9 stamps to create my card with the Inspired By Challenge IB176 as my inspiration. I chose to use the sketch for my design and was inspired by the colors in the photo. 

I used Worn Lipstick Distress Ink for the circle. I originally masked it off on my card front but I got ink all over my hands and had to cut out the circle instead.

I added the birdhouse and flower vase from WPlus9's The Little Things stamp set and paired it with the lilacs from Spring Blessings. The yellow cardinal (Did you know that there was such thing?) is from the Winter Greenery stamps set. 

I stamped the sentiment in gray but it got kind of thready. I used a sand eraser to get most of it off by I could not get it all.

I really love how this card came out!!! I am also going to enter this into this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

That is all form me tonight. I did create some graduation cards but need to take photos of them and have not done so yet. I have so much to do but so little time to do it!!
