Some Cards for Challenges

****Some links used in this post are Affiliate Links used a not extra cost to you.

 Hey Friends!!!

I am just popping in today with a BUNCH of cards I created this week. The first three cards I post are for some challenges that I am joining in on.

All three cards are created by using background stamps and some shading. I did a theme of butterflies for all cards.

My first card I created for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #627.

I started off  creating the striped paper with an MFT background stamp. I layered it over a piece of paper that was embossed with the Spellbinders Leafy 3D Embossing Folder. I then adhered a piece of foliage that was cut using the Pinkfresh Curvy Foliage Die

I then colored in a Glimmer Butterfly from Birch Press Designs with Copic Markers to adhere over the top of the foliage.

The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Sympathy.

Below is the challenge badge for Freshly Made Sketches #627.

My next card I created I using Tuesday Morning Sketches #748 as the jump off point.

The background of this card was stamped using the Striped Background by MFT Stamps. I stamped it both ways to make the grid. I layered a die cut Fancy Frame by Sunny Studios.

The foliage behind the Simon Says Stamp Layered Cosmic Butterfly was die cut from the Flowing Foliage Die Set

The butterfly is colored in using Copic Markers and the sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

The last card I created I used the Paper Craft Crew Challenge #561 as my inspiration. This was a sketch challenge and the challenge badge is below.

Again, I used a stamped paper I created using the Hero Arts Acanthus background stamp and Twilight Pawsitively Saturated Ink from Simon Says Stamp for my background paper.

I used an arch instead of the rectangle where I placed the butterfly. The arch was die cut with Spellbinders Arch Dies and embossed with the Spellbinders Mandala Blooms

Instead of a banner, I used the Curvy Leaves Die Cut from Pinkfresh Studio.

The script strip is a paper I created using Simon Says Pawsitively Saturated Ink. The colors I used were Morning, Twilight and Galaxy. The script was created using the Hero Arts Script Bold Prints.

Want to see more butterfly sympathy cards? I am involved in a blog hop over on Instagram. It is called Create it 3 Ways Challenge. You make three cards using a theme with any products you want. This is my second month and have chosen to use the same colors, paper I created and butterflies. If you want to see my cards, here is the LINK.

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!

Freshly Made Sketches #601

Hello friends!!

Just popping in with a card for Freshly Made Sketches #601 and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge-Stamp It

I created this card with the Simon Says Stamp Sunflower Stem.

The stamp in the background is the "Script" background from Hero Arts.

The stencil is Sweet as Honey from Photo Play and the embossing folder is from Spellbinders.

I also created a second card that was just a tiny bit different from the first card.

I used the same materials, with the exception of the the embossing folder. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.

I LOVE how these came out and was SO FUN to create. I just played around with stuff I have had for eons and used them!!

Well that is all from me. Thanks for stopping by. Have a FABULOUS Monday!!

There is Still Time to Play at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #569

 Hello Crafty Friends!!

Just popping in with a reminder that there is still time to play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #569. This time around the challenge is all about mermaids!!!

Once again I used an image from the Etsy shop JuliaSpiri for my image. Instead of coloring it in, I chose to leave it gray and add some ocean elements around the image.

Below is the inspiration badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challege #569. Aren't those cupcakes adorable?

Source

The paper behind my image is a scrap that I had in my stash. I thought it was perfect for this card.

The shells were die cut with dies from Hero Arts and the netting is from a die by Tutti Designs. I chose to leave most of the elements white with the color being behind the focal images. I like how it came out.

I hope my card inspires you to play with us over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenges this time around. I cannot wait to see what you create!!!

That is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS week!

 Hello friends!!

Today I am popping in with a remind that there is still time to play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #562. It is all about VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Once again, my image is from our sponsor, The Whimsical Art Witch. Isn't this gnome CUTE? I love the fun hat!!

Below is the challenge badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #562.

Once again, the colors on the badge were my inspiration.

I used mostly pink Copic Markers on this gnome, covering some areas with sparkle marker and Glossy Accents. The background was created with the Hero Arts Distressed Block Cling and ink.

I had a lot of fun practicing coloring in a beard with this image.

Please hop on over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog to join us for this week's challenge!!!

A Couple of Valentine's

Hey friends!! I am just popping in with a couple of Valentine's I created.

My first cad was inspired by last week's Freshly Made Sketches #571, which I sadly missed the deadline.  However, I will still be entering it into a couple of challenges.

The sketch that inspired me is below:

I used a mixed a bunch of old and new supplies. The "One Kiss Die" is from Couture Creations and a leftover from THIS card. I have used these lips in so many cards and I LOVE them!!

The background paper is "Ink Drop-Rose" from the Craft Consortium and I received it this weekend. I am supposed to be on a buying freeze but it has not been going well. Their is always March, right?

The border is a Spellbinders May 2020 Small die of the month. I NEVER used it and I thought now was the perfect time!! I added a sentiment from Hero Arts "Love Sentiment Strips" stamps and the little tickets are 49 & Market's "Ticket Essentials-Salsa."

I am entering this card into Papercraft Challenge #90-Anything Goes.

My second card I used the candy kiss die from the January Hero Arts Card Kit.

I die cut a ton out and adhered them to a red 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" piece of red cardstock

I added a vellum heart that I die cut using Kat Scrappiness' "Hearts of Love" dies. The stamped sentiments are from My Favorite Things "My Galantine" stamp set (retired) and Say it With Stamps "Kiss Me" stamp set.

The SWAK is a die cut that is also from Say it with Stamps "Kiss Me" dies. I LOVE how this card came out and it was so fun to create!!

I am entering this into this week's Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge -"Love is in the Air."

Well that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a FABULOUS day!!

A New Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge

 Hey friends!!

I am popping in to say that there is a NEW challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog. For the next two weeks, CIC#562 is all about VALENTINES DAY!!!!

For my card, I used an image from the sponsor for this challenge, The Whimsical Art Witch

This image from The Whimsical Art Witch is the Valentines Day Tomte Gnome Hearts

I had SO MUCH FUN coloring this image in!! The Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #562 badge is below.

I was inspired by the reds and pink in the badge. I used Copic Markers to color him in and the beard was a bit of a challenge.

The sentiment is from 49 and Market and my background I used my NEW Hero Arts Block Cling stamp to smoosh different inks that matched my colors.

To give the gnome some sparkle and shine, I used a sparkle pen and Glossy Accents. I cannot wait to send this out for Valentine's Day!!!

To join us for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #562, please hop on over to the BLOG. I cannot wait to see what you create!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by!! Have a FABULOUS day!!

Using My Stash to Create Cards

Hey Friends!! Happy Hump Day!

Today I am popping in with a couple of cards I created. The first card I am posting is one I made for a couple of challenges.

The challenges that inspired this card are Freshly Made Sketches #569 for my card design and The Color Hue Challenge #56 for the color scheme of pink and red.

The Gerda Steiner Designs panda bear was stamped and colored in with Copic Markers. This has been in my little drawer of "extras" for a long time.

The present is from Hero Arts (from JoAnn's-not in stock). This was in my stash too. I did create my blended and embossed background to match the colors in the present. It is a tiny bit lighter than the photo but I couldn't fix it in Photoshop.

The sentiment is new to me and made by Altenew.

I love how this came out. I also had fun going through my "extras" to find these images.

My second card is just because. I had extras from some cards I created for Kat Scrappiness so I decided to use one to make a card.

I added some glitter glue for my "whip cream" which is created by a doughnut die!!!

The only thing that isn't Kat Scrappiness is the embossed background.

I love how this came out and I can add it to my Christmas card stash for next year!!

One more thing before I go. One thing I like to do to relax is to bake. Monday I had the day off from work and so I tried out a recipe to make Lemon Scones.

I had never created this recipe and was not sure how it would bake up because the dough was VERY sticky. The only thing I did wrong with this recipe is that I should have baked them for a minute or two longer. However, I thought they were quite delicious!!!

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!!
