A NEW Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge-#592

Hey friends!!!

There is a NEW challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge this week. Challenge #592 is a THEME Challenge-FLOWERS!!!

I had so much fun using a TON of products from The Greetery to create my card. (no affiliate) Once again I am trying to use products that I have in my stash so I pulled out some flower stamps and went to town stamping.

Isn't it pretty? I LOVE the colors with the pattern paper background!!! Below is the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Badge for CIC592.

Not only was I inspired by the theme but the little purple flowers on the cupcake. I knew I had to use this color on my card.

I mounted the stamped sentiment (also from The Greetery) over my flowers and added some pearls to finish it off. I LOVE how this came out!!!

Want to join us this week? Hop on over to the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog for more information on this challenge.

That is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS Monday!!

A Couple of Challenges

(Some links in this are Affiliate Links used a no extra cost to you)

Hi Friends!!! Hope you are all having a great weekend. Just popping in with a few cards for some challenges. I have been trying to get in my craft room more this year and I have been doing a good job at keeping it up. I should be cleaning it up but instead I have been playing.

The first card I created for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #619

I took a few liberties on this sketch, I do like how this card came out. Instead of a square shape, I used a curved arch die.

One of my other goals this year is to use the supplies that I have instead of buying stuff that I don't need. For this card, I used the December 2023 Small Die of the Month Club from Spellbinders called Sneaking a Kiss

The heart border was cut on my Silhouette Machine and was in my scraps. The navy heart paper was a from a Honey Bee Stamps free paper pack that I got with an order.

I loved that I was able to use a ton of scraps for all these die cuts!!!

My second card was inspired by the Inspired By Challenge-Blue

I LOVED the blue shutters and the mosaic tile. I also used the sketch loosely on my card.

When I saw this challenge, I knew I had to use my Granny Square Dies from Altenew and some of their old cube inks-Lapus Lazuli.

I know, I know, these Granny Squares are supposed to be knit but they screamed mosaic to me! My favorite color is blue and I had so much fun making this card.

The sentiments were from my stash and I have no clue who created them. The embossing folder is my NEW FAVORITE from Honey Bee Stamps-Burlap

My last card I am entering into this round of The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #82-The Midas Touch.

I apologize for the photos from this card. I had such a hard time photographing it.

Most of the die cuts on this card are from The Greetery. The embossed background is from Spellbinders-Holly and Foliage Embossing Folder.

I used Tim Holtz Tarnished Brass Mica Spray on the background because it matched the antique gold paper I used on the bow and strip at the bottom.

Well that is all from me today. I have to get ready to go with my friend to a psychic show. I don't know if I really believe in it but I keep an open mind!! Have a FABULOUS night!!

Fun Cars for some Challenges

 Happy Sunday!!!

The sun is shining today but I have decided to spend some time in my craft room. I wanted to create some cards for a few challenges this week.

The first card I created for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge #743. It was to make a card using the colors pink, lime and white.

This card was so fun to create!! I shaded my card front with two types of pink ink. I then placed the Pinkfresh Studio Daisy Chain die cut over the top.

The flowers were die cut using a Momenta die and scraps. The roses were cut from blush cardstock and shaded with the same pink ink as the background. The flowers stems were die cut from some scraps of Basic Grey pattern paper. Oh how I miss this company!!!

The sentiment is from the Stylish Oval Stamp set from Spellbinders. I stamped it on white and used a circle die to cut it out. I then shaded it with pink ink. I just love how this whole card turned out!!!

I am entering this into the Color Throwdown Challenge #743 and the Happy Little Stampers-Anything Goes with Dies.

My next card I created for two challenges. I did a little distressing and used both premade elements and elements I had to create.

I used 49 & Market Countryside Collection paper and ephemera on this card

I added some Spellbinders flowers and a sentiment from MFT. I adore this paper collection!!! I know a lot of people love to create there own papers and I do too. However, I also like using pre-made papers as well. I kind of have an addiction to pattern papers and need to stop buying them.

I am entering this into this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #586 and this round of The Card Concept 195b. I loved the fun bird images and vintage flavor of the Card Concept badge. I am hoping it is okay to link to The Card Concept as I did not use any colors from the badge!!!

My last card I originally created for LAST WEEKS Freshly Made Sketches but never photographed it in time.

I just figured I would throw it on the blog for everyone to see. Don't you hate when that happens?

The background is from an embossing folder by Honey Bee Stamps. The postage stamp die is from Kat Scrappiness, the pattern paper from 49 & Market, and the planter is from Altenew.

Yes, my sentiment is not perfect. I tried to cut it in a straight line but I couldn't do it. This was my second attempt and I figured that I didn't care and am leaving it.

I do love how this card came out other than that and think I will make a couple more cards with this design for a set.

Well that is all from me today. Thank you for stopping by. Have a fabulous night!!!

There is Still Time to Join Us for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #568

Hey Friends!! I am just popping in with a reminder that there is still time to play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #568. It is a theme challenge this time around. It is to create a project for Mother's Day/Someone Special Feminine.

Like last week, I chose to create a card with ME in mind. I decided to do the same for this week. Since I lost my mother, Mother's Day is tough. I used the digital stamp "Gnome with Donut" that was generously donated to us by our sponsor for this challenge, PJ Illustrations.

Isn't this little gnome cute? I colored him in with Copic Markers and added some Glossy Accents randomly around the image when I was done. Hop on over to PJ Illustrations for more adorable digital stamps to use!!

You might be thinking, why do this card in red? While I chose the background papers first and then colored in the gnome!!! All the pattern paper used were scraps that I had in my stash for YEARS!!!

The die cut sentiment and the sentiment strip were from my stash and I apologize for not remember the company where they came from.

Want to play with us this week? Hop on over to Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog for more information about this challenge and to see other fabulous projects from our Design Team!!!

That is all from me today. Thank you for stopping by. Happy Crafting!!!

A Card Set

***Some of the links in this post are Affiliate Links used at no extra cost to you!!

Hey friends!!

Just popping in with a card set I created this weekend. I belong to a small challenge community and one of the challenges was to create as many cards as you could from one 12" by 12" challenge. There was a sketch with dimensions on how to cut your paper but right off the bat, I messed up. So I went with what I had and I LOVE what I created!!!

The piece of pattern paper I used had orange polka dots on one side and on the other, it had white distress with some writing. It was from Pink Paislee Twilight Collection and the name of the paper is Eclipse. It is a VERY OLD piece of paper and I could not even find a link for it!!

I paired it with various die cut and stamped sentiments that were in my "extra" box and as well some dies from Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club dies. I have a subscription and have a TON I have not used. I figured this type of challenge would be great for them.

I was able to create FIVE cards and I LOVE how they came out!!

The first card I created is the "Let's Celebrate Card." I used the Spellbinders November 2022 Small Die of the Month Club "Layered Floral Card Creator" die set for my flowers paired with a "Stylized Border Trio" that was the June 2022 Small Die of the Month.

I used Distress Inks to make the greenery in the die cut piece. It is modeled after a piece of Basic Grey paper that I LOVED and used up.

I used clear sparkle pen, Glossy Accents and some orange pearls to complete my design.

On my second card, I did a bit of distressing on the edges of the pattern paper. I used both sides of the paper on this, as well as some orange paper that I created with Distress Inks.

I stuck with the same Spellbinders "Layered Floral Card Creator" to make my cards cohesive.

For my third card, I used the back of the pattern paper and Spellbinders border dies for the background.

I added another tube flower in blue in the arrangement, as well as some sparkle marker and Glossy Accents on various flowers.

The sentiment was printed out from my computer and I added orange pearls for more detail.

My fourth card, I embossed the background with Honey Bee Stamps' "Spring Medley" embossing folder.

By now, I only had some scraps of pattern paper left. I made a grid of six 1 1/4" squares and added some flowers that were left over.

I actually think that this one is my favorite out of all five cards.

My pattern paper was getting down to the very end for my last card.

The borders were die cut from the back of the pattern paper and orange paper that I had created.

I used the last of my extra flowers and leaves to complete the card. Don't look too closely at the borders as I had to finagle them to get them all on this card!!!

I am entering the cards into some challenges. Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes" and Allsorts Challenge "Anything Goes."

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for stopping by. Have a happy Tuesday!!

The February 2022 Release from Kat Scrappiness

Affiliate Links are used in this post at no extra cost to you!!!

Hello everyone!! Today I am on the blog to show some cards I created for the new Kat Scrappiness Release. It is a Birthday theme and I had SO MUCH FUN playing with the new products.

For my first card I combined the Balloon Coverplate, some birthday hats from the Birthday Essentials Dies that were die cut from the new Birthday Essentials 6" by 8" pattern paper.

The sentiment is the new Make a Wish w/Shadow Die. I covered it with some Glossy Accents.

I added some Sparkling Clear Confetti for a "faux" shaker look.

For my second card, I created a background using a brayer and then made a flat shaker out of it with some Rainbow Dot Sprinkles and White AB Solid Confetti Mix.

I added a cake I created with some Distress Ink and the new Birthday Essentials Die set.

The sentiment was die cut using the new Happy Birthday w/Shadow Die.

I used some Glossy Accents and some Rainbow Dot Sprinkles to decorate my cake.

I LOVE this new release and had a BLAST making these cards. There is an Instagram Hop going on. Please hop on over to the Kat Scrappiness Instagram to begin the hop. Leave a comment on all the project posts and you will be entered to win a $25 gift certificate.

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a FABULOUS Saturday and STAY WARM!!
