A NEW Kat Scrappiness Shop Release!!

**Affiliate Links are used in this post at no extra cost to you

Hello friends!!

Today I am on the blog with a NEW RELEASE from the Kat Scrappiness Shop!! The cutest Halloween and Thanksgiving products are being released!! Below is a preview of a couple of projects I created for the release.

My first card features the NEW Kat Scrappiness Spooky Boo and Witches Brew dies. I also used the Kat Scrappiness Creepy and Kooky 6x6 paper and the Boo-Who? sequin mix on my card.

Instead of using the caldron as a shaker, I drew "bubbles" inside with Copic Markers. I then used some Glossy Accents to make some of the bubbles shine. I added the ghost and sequins from the Boo-Who? sequin mix.

The Spooky Boo sentiment was die cut from the Creepy and Kooky paper and Neenah Solar White cardstock.

My second card I combined the NEW Kat Scrappiness Mail Storm Coverplate Die, Gobble Gobble 6x6 Pattern Paper Pad and the Simple Sentiments stamps and dies to create my card.

I die cut the Mail Storm Coverplate Die from Neenah Solar White  cardstock and colored in some of the envelopes with Copic Markers, choosing colors from the Gobble Gobble pattern paper that is in back of the die.

I filled my shaker card with some Kat Scrappiness Autumn Pumpkin Sprinkles and Yellow Confetti Sprinkles. I added a few pearls around the sentiment from the Orange Creamsicle Pearl Mix

As part of this new Kat Scrappiness Shop release, I have two more card creations in today's Kat Scrappiness INSTAGRAM HOP!!

Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #437 and Some More Homework

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope you are all doing well.

It is a PERFECT day in Connecticut today-mid 60's, low humidity with the sun shining. I spent some time outside watering my plants and planting some basil seeds in my skimpy veggie garden. We only are ever successful with tomatoes. Every time I have planted any kind of cucumber or squash, cucumber beetles kill my plants no matter what I do.

I was busy in my craft room yesterday. I created a card for Freshly Made Sketches #437.

Below is the sketch that inspired this card:
Instead of having the design at the top, I kind of "flipped" the sketch to have it at the bottom. I also could NOT have my rectangle images not be uniform.

I have been trying to use more of the stamps that I own so I dug out this old PaperTrey Ink set, "Building Blocks" to use on this card. I used five different shades of purple ink to stamp each of the five images.

I added a white die cut flower from MFT and Eucalyptus Leaves from Simon Says Stamp.

Supplies:
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Purple Rain
Stamps: PaperTrey Ink Building Blocks
Dies: Simon Says Stamps Eucalyptus Leaves, MFT Stitched Flowers
Ink: MFT Boysenberry, Purple Rain, Lavender Fields, Wild Wisteria and Egglplant (retired), Memento London Fog and Hero Arts Soft Granite

Now for some cards for the Online Card Class Spring Stamp Camp 2. I still have not done all of my "homework" but I have worked on some.  I have not created cards with everything I have made, though.

My first card is my homework from Day 6.

I stamped the Pinkfresh Studio "Enchanted Blooms" with Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink on some pink cardstock.

I cut up the cardstock and layered it on the bottom of my white card base. I then added a MFT diecut sentiment and sentiment strip at the bottom.

I die cut a ton of sentiments last weekend and glued three of them together to give them a little lift. I usually do this as I make my cards but I have been trying to be more efficient and have some die cuts pre-made to add to my cards.

For my next three cards, I used a really cool technique by Dawn Woleslagle from WPlus9. We learned this on Day 19. Instead of making my embellishments for these cards, I embellished some pre-made die cuts from Pink Paislee.

I actually never do this type of thing but love designers like Jeanne Jachna that use pre-made embellishments on their projects. I have a TON left over from my scrapbook days and I recently bought these because I fell in love with them at the store. They make me HAPPY!!!

Dawn taught us how to do mono printing with Ranger Distress Oxides. I cannot say that I was that successful BUT it was fun to try!!

I embellished my my die cuts with some Aqua Shimmer Pen and Glossy Accents.

The sequins were added in purple and silver. The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti.

My second card used the printing part of the technique.

This was my FAVORITE card of the bunch. I think the background is so cool. Most of my examples did not come out like this, though.

On this card I added a Stampin Up doily die cut with the pre-made die cuts.

I also added some purple Nuvo drops instead of sequins on this card.

Again I used the pre-made die cuts for the card. I added an MFT smile die cut for the sentiment.

I added some Aqua Shimmer and Glossy Accents over the top of it to make it SHINE.

I altered the sentiment strip to say what I wanted it to say. I used some foam adhesive to pop it up off the card.

Using these pre-made die cuts was a lot of fun and I have a TON left over to make more cards at a later date!!

Smile, Laugh, Be Happy Supplies:

Paper: Neenah Solar White, PTI Vintage Jadeite

Stamps: WPlus9 Winter Greenery, Reverse Confetti So Many Sentiments,

Dies: Stampin Up Doily Builders, MFT Blueprints 13, MFT Smile Die

Ink: Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink, Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink, Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink

Die Cuts: Pink Paislee Bloom Street Ephemera

Other: Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen, Glossy Accents, Foam Adhesive, Gemini Jr., Ranger Multi Matte, Scotch Dot Adhesive Roller, Gelli Plate

I think that is all from me today. I could add a ton more but won't. This class was a BLAST and even though it isn't live anymore, I would recommend for others to take.

I thank you for stopping by. Have a FABULOUS night!!

It is a CardMaker Magazine Blog Hop Featuring Flower Cards!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I am here with a card for the CardMaker Magazine Blog Hop. You should have hopped here from Gaylynn's blog "Neat Nook Creations."

For this hop, we were to use flowers on our creations. I created a card combining CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Full on Floral" stamp set with "Sassy Smiles" and a few Fri-dies.

I started off my card by stamping the "Full on Floral" stamp in red onto a top folding, A2 aqua card base. I love these two colors together and decided to use them after seeing a dress I liked while I was on vacation. I made a mental note to come home and use this color scheme on a card.

I then die cut the "smile" sentiment using CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Smiling Fri-Dies" out of a piece of red card stock. I adhered it to the card front saturating it with a clear sparkle pen and a coat of glossy accents.

While the die cut was drying, I masked a sentiment from the "Sassy Smiles" stamp set and stamped it in red onto a strip of aqua card stock. I adhered this sentiment strip under the "smile" die cut using foam adhesive.

I thought the card needed something more so I then die cut some flowers using CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Friendly Flowers" and "Fun-Fetti Fri-Dies" out of the same red card stock as the sentiment. (Really difficult to tell this in my photos but the shiny was really hard to photograph!!)

Like the sentiment, I coated the flowers with clear sparkle pen and Glossy Accents. When the flowers were dry, I added an aqua pearl onto each flower.

This card was extremely simple to make and would be fun to mass produce for a card set. Who doesn't like getting a card that says smile? I tend to use these the most and send them out just to cheer somebody up.

Next up on the blog hop is Niki's blog, "Cardstoq: Tealkat's Blog." If you get lost along the way, be sure to head on over to the CardMaker Magazine Blog for the full list of designers participating in this hop.

Don't forget to comment on every one's blog for a chance to win some great prizes!

I thank you for stopping by and hope you all have a FABULOUS day.

Another Wine Card for Mojo Monday #488

Happy Tuesday!! We have had a snow day today due to a Nor'easter but all is good. It has warmed up to 41 degrees and is now raining. Supposed to freeze again tonight, though, so here is hoping we don't lose power due to ice!!

Since I am home bound, I have been hanging out in my pj's doing laundry and did make a card for the Mojo Monday #488 Sketch Challenge. I used the pile that is on my desk that I put in yesterday's post.

Once again, I used Simon Says Stamp's "Time for Wine" stamp and die set for my card.

My inspiration was the sketch below, which I flipped 180 degrees.

I adored this sketch because it was very simple. I also liked it because it let me layer my stamped and die cut images.

All the images were colored in with Copic markers. I used Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Marker over the Copics and then added Glossy Accents over that.

I used a piece of gold and white polka dot paper for the strip that was in the sketch.

I really like how this came out.

I thank you for stopping by today. Stay safe and warm all my friends that live in the Northeast!!

Fab Friday #107

Hello! I am here today with yet another card that I created this weekend. Again, I used stuff on my desk to layer together using the "Fab Friday" Sketch #107 as my inspiration.

I think I have said this before that I am having fun with sketches as of late because you can use any kind of product on them. I would love to do some color challenges but find them really...um, challenging.

I used Simon Says Stamps "Time for Wine" stamp and dies to create my card. I colored a bunch of these images in awhile ago and never used them. I don't know why I am obsessed with this set but I am. It is not like I send out wine cards that often. (I could, though. I have A LOT of friends who enjoy a nice bottle, oh I mean a glass of wine!!)

The sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink's "Fillable Frames #5." I have used this sentiment a ton because it just seems to go with everything!! I also stamped a matching envelope for this card. This is my new "thing!"

I used Glossy Accents and Spectrum Clear Sparkle Marker over these elements. The doily is a retired MFT die.

Here is the sketch I used:

This is one of those sketches I could have made a ton of cards from. I think I might duplicate this card with some purple wine images I have from my last color spree. (though it is purple and wine is not purple!)

Here is another angle of the card. I cannot tell you how much I love how this came out!!

Well, enough of me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Comments are always welcome!!
