Day 1 of Sneak Peeks from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps-"Cup of Coffee" Stamp Set and "Coffee Cup Fri-dies"

Hello everyone!! I cannot believe it is December 31st and tomorrow will be 2018!! This year FLEW by so fast!!!

For the next six days I will be sharing some new CAS-ual Fridays Stamps products. Today is I made two cards showcasing the new "Cup of Coffee" Stamp set and the "Coffee Cup Fri-dies." These will be available today at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

The first card I made I used the small coffee cup from the stamp set and randomly stamped it onto a white 4" by 5 1/4" piece of card stock in a rainbow of inks. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo ink.

I adhered this stamped piece over a piece of green card stock cut to the same size, and a kraft, top-folding, A2 sized card.

Next I stamped the sentiment in brown and used a water based marker to color it in. I then used foam adhesive to matte it in red. I adhered the sentiment block to the card front and went over the red with glossy accents.

My last step was to adhere red hearts that were die cut using the "Fun-Fetti Fri-dies" and clear sequins randomly over the card front. I topped the hearts with a glitter pen and glossy accents.

My next card was a bit simpler. I started off stamping one of the sentiments from the "Cup of Coffee" stamp set in red, orange, yellow and green down a white strip of card stock. I adhered this over a to-folding, kraft, A2 sized card front.

I then used the "Coffee Cup Fri-dies" to die cut small blue coffee cups out of scraps of patterned paper and the "coffee" sentiment out of a purple scrap.

Next stamped the brown ovals and adhere the coffee cups over them. I adhered the sentiment and then covered it with sparkle pen and glossy accents.

I had so much fun using these new products!! I do not drink coffee but I know a few people I will be sending these to with a little gift inside. The new stamp and die set is available at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps under New. Use my code: NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your total order!!

I thank you for stopping by today.  Tune in tomorrow for another sneak peek. Have a FABULOUS New Years Eve!!!

Friday with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Happy Friday everyone!! Is everyone ready for Christmas? I am as ready as I will ever be!!

Today is my turn on the CAS-ual Friday Stamps Blog. I started off with making ONE card but wound up making THREE!!! Sometimes that just happens, you know? I am warning you ahead of time that this post is a bit heavy on the photos.

It all started off with my first card.

I created this card using CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Sugar Plum Fairy stamp set, the Ornament Tag and Funky Flakes Fri-dies.

I started off by using the Ornament Tag and Funky Flakes dies to create a decorative die cut frame.

I used white card stock as the base of all my die cuts.

I then sandwiched the snowflakes between the two circle "frames" I created.

I cut off the excess snowflake edges and  decided to coat everything in Versamark ink and gold embossing powder. I actually did a couple passes with the ink and powder because on the first try I stuck my finger in the hot powder and smudged it. Ouch!

As this piece was drying, I created a circle mask and did some ink blending on a white, A2 card front. I added some water droplets over the top of the blending and dried it with a heat tool.

I then stamped the sentiment in one of the ink colors and added the snowflake frame on top.

I had so much fun making this card that I created a second one using a square frame this time.

Instead of embossing the frame, I left it white. The sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays Lovely Blessings stamp set and I added a Fun-Fetti heart I die cut in red and covered with a sparkle pen.

When I was done, I noticed that I had a white circle with the negative of one of the snowflakes that I had die cut for my first card. It kept calling to me as I was cleaning up. Here is the card that I created using that small scrap as my inspiration.

I layered the white scrap over the pink glitter circle to make an ornament out of it. I used the Ornament Tag Fri-die for the whole ornament.

I layered my ornament over some pink polka dot paper and silver card stock that matched the top of the ornament. I used the Christmas Sparkle stamp set for the embossed sentiment.

My last step was to add sequins randomly over the card front.

Okay, I promise I am DONE!! I apologize for all my photos today but I was on a roll with all of these cards. If any of you would like to buy any of the dies or stamps I used today, head on over to CAS-ual Fridays and use my code: nora2017 for 15% off of your order. This includes sale items too!!

I thank you for taking the time out of all your holiday prep and stopping by today.

A couple cards for CASE This Sketch #252, Time Out Challenges and Merry Monday #269

Hello everyone!! Today I am just posting quick.

I created two Christmas cards for some challenges.

First, the layout of the card was inspired by the sketch below from CASE this Sketch:

Instead of the circle, I used the poinsettia as the focal point on both cards, along with some pine boughs and mistletoe.

The colors that I was inspired by came from two sources. One is the image from TIME OUT Challenge #98and the second is three colors from the Merry Monday image #269. I think you can see what inspired me from both.

Here is a close up of both. I used the same poinsettia that I used on yesterdays card. I die cut a few to get rid of some scraps.

I also used two different sentiments on each card but both were heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

That is all from me today!! I thank you for stopping by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Just Add Ink Challenge #390

Happy Friday!! It feels like winter today-the temp being 9 degrees Fahrenheit this morning. We are also getting some snow tonight as well and it is the perfect time to be holed up getting Christmas cards ready to mail. (I am a little behind this year! 😓)

Today I am sharing a card I created last night for the Just Add Ink Challenge #390. I have been doing everything to avoid getting my Christmas cards written out!!

The sketch below is what inspired my card.
My whole card was designed around the poinsettia that I had die cut a couple nights before. I had NEVER used this die and decided it was about time that I did!

The paper I used was something I have had for over a year too. I have SO MANY 6" by 6" pads of Christmas paper and have been hoarding for no reason. It was about time that I cut into it.

The sentiment is a sticker that I actually bought this year and fit perfect with the colors in the paper. That NEVER happens and was so happy that I didn't have to stamp or emboss anything!!

Well that is all from me today. Stay warm!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Chanukah with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Hello everyone!! Today it is my turn on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog.

Since Chanukah started this week, I created a card to celebrate this holiday by using two sets of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps-"Star of David" and "Chanukah."

The first step for my card was to heat emboss the sentiment from "Chanukah" with platinum embossing powder.

Next I created my pattern paper using the stars from the "Star of David" set. I layered my stars in no specific order onto my white card stock and used a MISTI tool for the stamping. I always have a lot of fun making patterned paper and this stamp set is perfect for it. The stars are in four different sizes and can cover quite a bit of background.

I chose to use a soft blue ink for the patterned paper because I was using a soft blue embossing powder to make some solid blue areas when I put the card together.

I trimmed my stamped background into a 3" by 5 1/2" piece. I then cut a 1 1/2" piece off, taped the top off so 1/4" of it was showing and smeared clear ink along the top.

I then heat embossed it with powder that matched the dye ink I used. I adhered this piece to my A2 card base so the the solid line was under the sentiment.

I repeated the trimming the paper and heat embossing a section of patterned paper two more times and adhered the pieces to the card.

My last step was to adhere platinum and blue gems randomly around the sentiment.

I hope this card inspires you to make some stamped paper yourself. If you feel like getting yourself an early Christmas present, use my code nora2017 to get 15% your total order at the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Store.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a GREAT day!!

Accountability and Hoarding Supplies

Hello everyone!! Happy Friday!

I have been doing a lot of soul searching in my crafting endeavors and trying to come up with ways to use my STUFF. Right now my room is a mess. I am going to post some photos below that I took last night to show you what a hoarder I have become.

This is the floor around my desk:

This is part of my desk where I have started working:

This is my "coloring station" where I use my different markers.

Can you see what a MESS my space is currently? And I am not even showing you the whole room!!

Anyway, I am posting these to make myself accountable. I need to clean up my supplies so I can USE them. (And when I talk about using the stuff on my desk-this is why I have so many choices!!) You would think that my room being like this would make me NOT want to craft, right? WRONG!! I just push it aside and carry on. I cannot do it anymore, though.

So here is to being accountable and not being such a hoarder!!

Thanks for stopping by and looking at "my mess." Have a FABULOUS Friday!!
